To qualify for the rebate, you must install new or refurbished shade screens or apply window film that meet program requirements. You must also submit a completed rebate application and a dated copy of the paid invoice within six months of the installation date.

For additional energy savings you can submit the IRS form 5695 for home window tinting in conjunction with the SRP rebate when doing your annual tax return. This form enables you to submit up to 30% of the cost for window film services for a tax credit.
